Building upon the strong relationship that the United Nations human rights system maintains with civil society organizations and the positive engagement over the years, the official participation of non-governmental organizations in UN meetings and bodies has become a widespread practice across most of its entities. The Kuwaiti Women's Associations Union has played an active role in promoting and protecting women's rights, advocating for their advancement, and encouraging their participation in decision-making processes.
The union has also been involved in providing educational and awareness programs on the political and social rights of Kuwaiti women. It has been effective in delivering accurate information on health and human rights, as well as raising a strong voice against human rights violations and advocating vigorously for marginalized or socially disadvantaged groups.
