In an effort to reinforce the role of the Kuwaiti Federation of Women's Associations in raising awareness and addressing social issues related to families and their well-being, as well as protecting them from all forms of violence or discrimination, the federation actively participated in the celebration of the "International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women." During the event, Sheikha Fadia Saad Al-Abdullah Al-Sabah, the President of the Kuwaiti Federation of Women's Associations, emphasized the importance of preserving the bonds of Kuwaiti families by enhancing the status of Kuwaiti women and promoting a culture of social peace. She underscored the significance of raising social awareness about the necessity of combating violence against women, noting its profound impact on the social, psychological, and physical well-being of women and their family members, both male and female.
She also warned of the necessity of addressing the root causes of the increasing phenomenon of violence against women in Kuwaiti society and the importance of working to rectify those causes to ensure a healthy environment for the future generations to build their Kuwait. She added that addressing violence has become an urgent task that aligns with the progress made by Kuwaiti women in various aspects of social, political, economic, and cultural life.
